Terms of Service
Effective date: May 22, 2026
Welcome to GlobalPath. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and GlobalPath ("we", "us", "our") and govern your access to and use ofglobalpathedu.comand our related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian’s permission to enter into this agreement. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account, for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, and for all activity under your account. Notify us at [email protected] immediately of any unauthorized access. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, submit fraudulent information, or pose a security risk.
3. What GlobalPath is, and isn’t
GlobalPath is an information and consulting platform. We help students research universities, discover scholarships, understand visa processes, and, for paid services, get guidance from human advisors. We are not a university, government agency, immigration lawyer, or recruitment company. University and scholarship listings on the Service are compiled and curated from publicly available sources; their presence on the Service does not imply any partnership, endorsement, or affiliation between GlobalPath and the listed institution or scholarship provider. Information on the Service is for general educational purposes and may not reflect the latest rules or requirements of any specific institution or government. Always verify critical information (program requirements, deadlines, visa rules, tuition) with the official source before making decisions.
No guarantees of outcome. We do not guarantee admission to any program, approval of any visa application, award of any scholarship, or any specific result.
4. Purchases, pricing, and taxes
Prices for paid services are shown on the Service and may change at any time (but changes will not affect services you have already purchased). Unless otherwise stated, prices are in U.S. dollars and are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which will be added at checkout where required. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By submitting payment information you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method the full purchase amount.
5. Refund policy
- Cancellation before work begins: if you cancel a paid service before an advisor has been assigned or any work has begun, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase.
- After work has begun: refunds are prorated based on the work completed (as recorded on your order’s milestone log). No refunds are issued after the full service has been delivered.
- EU consumers: residents of the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive, except where service performance begins within that window with your explicit consent (in which case the amount is prorated).
- How to request: contact [email protected] with your order ID.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information (including academic records, test scores, or identity documents);
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your relationship with any person or entity;
- use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others, or to transmit spam or malicious code;
- scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest data from the Service outside what the published API allows;
- attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or circumvent the Service’s security or rate limits;
- resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its content without our express written permission.
7. User content
When you upload documents, submit reviews, or send messages through the Service, you retain ownership of that content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit, and display your content solely as needed to provide the Service. Reviews you submit for public display may be shown to other users and summarized in aggregate. You are responsible for the content you submit and represent that you have the right to share it. We may remove or decline to publish any content that we reasonably believe is false, misleading, unlawful, or in breach of these Terms.
8. Inquiries and personal data
The Service includes inquiry and intake forms that collect information you provide about yourself (for example, name, email, phone number, country, academic interests, and budget) so that we can respond to you and tailor guidance. You must only submit information that is accurate and that you are entitled to share. Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Referral and recruiter program
We may offer a referral or recruiter program that lets eligible participants share a referral code or link and earn rewards when referred users complete qualifying actions. Participation, eligibility, reward amounts, and qualifying actions are set out when you join the program and may change or be discontinued at any time. We may withhold or reverse rewards, and suspend participation, where we reasonably believe a referral involves fraud, self-referral, fake accounts, spam, or any other abuse or breach of these Terms. Rewards have no cash value except as expressly stated, and participants are responsible for any taxes on rewards they receive.
10. Communications
By creating an account or submitting an inquiry, you agree that we may send you service-related emails (for example, account, security, payment, and advisory updates) that are necessary to operate the Service. Marketing emails are optional, and you can unsubscribe from them at any time using the link in the message or by contacting us.
11. Intellectual property
The Service (including our name, logo, software, design, and original content) is owned by GlobalPath and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any license or right in the Service beyond the limited right to use it as described here.
12. Third-party services
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services (for example, university sites, scholarship providers, Google OAuth). We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
University, scholarship, and visa information is curated from public sources and may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of this information and are not responsible for decisions you make in reliance on it without verifying it against the official source.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GlobalPath and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim and (b) USD $100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or statutory consumer rights in the EU/UK).
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GlobalPath from any claim, loss, or demand (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
16. Termination
You may close your account at any time via the dashboard or by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we need to comply with legal requirements. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., IP, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute resolution) will survive.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, except that consumers in the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions with mandatory local consumer protections retain the right to bring claims in their home jurisdiction under local law.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email and on this page, with the revised effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
