Banyere Rice

Rice University was founded in 1912 and sits on a tree-shaded 300-acre campus in the heart of Houston, next to the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical complex in the world. Its eleven residential colleges, modeled on the Oxbridge system, become a student's home and social identity for all four years -- there is no Greek system. With about 4,500 undergraduates and a 6:1 student-faculty ratio, Rice combines an intimate scale with the scientific and engineering opportunities of a major research city.
